OUR MISSION

Reaching the Unreached in the San Francisco Bay area.

There are more than 60,000 Afghans in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the number is growing every day. ‘Omed’ means hope in Dari and Pashto, the two major languages in Afghanistan, a country which is 99.9% Muslim. We desire to bring hope to the lost, broken and hurting Afghans in the Bay Area. We also have this same passion for the Muslims of this area. That all would have an opportunity to know and experience the Love of Christ in their lives.

We find that many are facing poverty, mental illness, broken families, and religiosity without relationship. God has given us the vision to see a disciple-making movement among Afghans and other Muslim communities. Our desire is to see men and women following Isa al Masih, “Jesus the Messiah!” with all their hearts while remaining a part of their culture and community. As Muslims come to faith in Christ, we are excited to see them become a living witness back to their own communities. We are also working to equip the body of Christ to do the same.
